Come In

In today’s comic Molly gets to know Charlie a bit more, and we may get a hint at what she does to earn her bread and cheese.

Don’t forget to have a look at Chuck’s spinoff comic, starting here.

  1. Well, I just spent the past couple of days marathoning this comic and I’m finally to the end (although, I was a bit sad, because I was enjoying it).

I have to say, this comic is fantastic. I don’t know of anyone who can write characters so well and interlace it with legit professional development issues and highly emotionally intelligent romance (although xkcd comes pretty close).

I also want to give you so many props for creating and maintaining a fantastic female character (which we still seem to be lacking these days). I feel a bit of myself in Molly; though, to be honest, I feel dwarfed by her knowledge and skill. Makes me want to get back to some projects I’ve left by the wayside because I’ve been struggling with finishing all the requirements for a web app redesign for work.

    • I’m very happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the comic Mason, particularly for all the reasons you’ve mentioned. All of these are precisely what I attempt to bring to the comic each time I update it.

Molly is in many ways an illustration of all of the qualities I most admire in human beings, and I always work to make that as clear as I can.

Thanks for taking the time to read and letting me know that you’ve considered that time well spent!

      • I actually found your comic from Don’t Hit Save (also a great comic, which accurately describes the frustrations I feel at work and home when it comes to development), as Jeff has mentioned that his main character appears periodically in Molly Beans. So I just wanted to give a shout-out to him for continually promoting this comic.

And you’re very welcome, I like to give credit where it’s due.
