Patient

In today’s comic, Molly realizes that she is most likely staring into an abyss.

2017 has been a fine year for this project; I’ve seen a fair amount of growth, a large amount of support for the project on Patreon, got the theme song finished and, in not entirely unrelated news, I’ve completed my book.   As the new year rolls around, I’ve got a few other things about ready to roll out, and I’ll do so as soon as time and completion permits.

Thanks to each and every last one of you who have stopped by to read, comment, and criticize Molly Beans this year. I’m going to be keeping it up, so stop on by each Wednesdaay and Friday in 2018 for more.

See you next year!

Not Recommended

Molly offers her feedback, and we’ll see if it’s flat out ignored.

I hope everyone to whom it applies has a happy and safe holiday weekend.  I’ll be back Wednesday.

One last thing. If you needed a last minute gift idea, I wrote a book, which you may enjoy if you’re a reader here. It’s a mere 3.99 for the eBook edition.

If you check it out, consider adding it to Goodreads and leaving a review there or on Amazon!

Advice

Molly tells Kim what’s on her mind in today’s comic, and realizes that she needs to heed her own advice.

Speaking of advice, I advise you to have a look at the book I wrote, which you may enjoy if you’re a reader here. It’s a mere 3.99 for the eBook edition.  I’ll also be offering signed copies of the paperback and hardcover soon!  Check out the trailer!

If you check it out, consider adding it to Goodreads and leaving a review there or on Amazon!

Deltas

Molly asks Kim to explain “her” app. Kim doesn’t like that.

Thus concludes another three comic week. Thanks for reading.

In other news, Patreon has retracted their fee structure change. Many are still displeased with the service given this and other things they did this year, so I don’t have a thing to say about anyone who elects to discontinue using the service. Other than, of course, thank you for supporting me all year.

I’ve put up alternatives to Patreon if you were a previous backer and wish to continue offering support to this project. I will match any perks offered if you do.

Of course, I’d also be perfectly satisfied if all you do is read and share. That’s enough on its own. Either way, Molly Beans will be here.

Speaking of being here, I’ll be back next week.

Have A Seat

Molly asks some fundamental questions about Javascript in today’s comic.  Kim seems to take it differently.

Oh, and I wrote a book which you may enjoy if you’re a reader here. It’s a mere 3.99 for the eBook edition.  I’ll also be offering signed copies of the paperback and hardcover soon!  Check out the trailer!

Thanks for stopping by; one more comic is coming this week, on Friday.  See you then!

That Was Then

Molly and Kim continue their conversation in today’s comic.

In other news, I’ll go ahead and repeat myself from Friday regarding Patreon’s proposed change in its policy for processing fees.

Long story short, this has miffed a lot of creators, including myself.  I have no issue paying a fee for the privilege of access to a centralized, user friendly, trusted brand for supporter donation.  I do not, however want anyone who chooses to support me and my work to be charged a fee for the privilege.

If they go through with this change, between this and their policy decisions earlier this year which involved deplatforming without warning,  my good will for the service is spent.  I’ve set up alternatives on Paypal and services which proxy to it, like MakerSupport, on the donations page.  If you were a Patron and opt to re-up on one of those services, I’ll arrange an additional perk for you along the same lines as the Patreon rewards, and I’ll throw in a signed sketch to boot.  If you’re a new supporter who joins me on Paypal, I’ll match the existing perks, though I may end up revising them a bit to something of equal value.

If a recurring donation isn’t your thing, I did just publish a book!

Why not have a look at it?  it’s a mere 3.99 for the eBook edition.  I’ll also be offering signed copies of the paperback and hardcover soon!  Check out the trailer!

Thanks to everyone who has been so good to this project all year.  I’ll be back with two more comics this week.

Sincere

Molly expresses some mild skepticism in today’s comic.

Speaking of skepticism, Patreon’s proposed change in its policy for processing fees has miffed a lot of creators, including myself.  I have no issue paying a fee for the privilege of access to a centralized, user friendly, trusted brand for supporter donation.  I do not, however want anyone who chooses to support me and my work to be charged a fee for the privilege.

Thanks to everyone who has been so good to this project all year.  I’ll be back next week with three comics, one each on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!

Hooray

Today’s comic is the 200th since this all got started.  Naturally I’d need to introduce something new, so here we are; Molly meets her college roommate for the first time since she left college three years ago.  Ms. Beans didn’t mince words regarding her opinion of the type of person Kim was at the time, and now that the blue haired engineer is experiencing a period of doubt, how will Kim’s presence affect her?  Let’s find out.

It’s been a good month on the Patreon Page.  I’ll have everything shipped out today, if you’ve pledged this month.  Thank you very much!

If you prefer other methods to support the project aside from Patreon, check out the donate page.

I’ll be back with comic #201 on Friday.

Figure It Out

There’s a new blog post up over at adobekroger.com. Have a read. In it, I talk a little about a previous project and the evolution of this one.

Speaking of this project, today’s comic marks the 199th installment, which means next week’s Wednesday strip will be the 200th.  Thanks to everyone who has stopped by this year, offered support on the Patreon page, sent notes, shared, and commented.

Today’s comic also continues a new narrative thread which will lead into the next major chapter of Molly’s life, one which I hope will offer many opportunities for continued development in every sense of the word.

See you next week.
